Seeking His Kingdom First

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Psalm 37:4-5

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.

As the new week begins, it’s easy to get caught up in tasks, worries, and plans. Yet Jesus invites us to start differently—by seeking His kingdom first.

Picture laying your to-do list at His feet while He fills your heart with peace and purpose. When we prioritize God’s presence and righteousness, He faithfully orders our steps and provides what we truly need.

The gospel shows us a Savior who gave everything so we could live in right relationship with the Father. This Monday, let seeking Him reshape your priorities and open the door to His best.

How will you seek His kingdom first today?

1
Start with Him

Spend time in prayer and Scripture before diving into your responsibilities.

2
Live It Out Boldly

Look for ways to honor God in your work, conversations, or decisions, trusting Him with the outcomes.

Lord, help me seek Your kingdom first this week. Align my heart with Yours and give me the grace to trust You completely. “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Matthew 6:33; Psalm 37:4-5; Jeremiah 29:13; Proverbs 3:5-6; Colossians 3:1-2; Matthew 6:25-34
