Hope That Does Not Disappoint

Romans 5:5

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope can feel risky when life has already disappointed you. You start to protect your heart. You stop expecting much. But the hope Jesus gives is different. It is not wishful thinking. It is anchored in a finished work and a living Savior. On the cross He proved that God’s love does not walk away when things get hard. That same love has been poured into your heart. So when the waiting stretches long and the outcome is still unseen, you are not hoping in thin air. You are hoping in Him. And He will not put you to shame.

1
Hold Onto Hope

Name one place where hope has grown thin and ask the Lord to fill that place again.

2
Live It Out Boldly

Speak hope into someone else’s situation today—gently, honestly, and with Scripture.

Lord, thank You for a hope that does not disappoint. Fill my heart again with Your love and help me trust You when I cannot see the way. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19).
