Come Away and Rest
Faith Compass
Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.
My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Morning Light
It’s Friday. You made it. Maybe you’re running on fumes and coffee, and the week took more out of you than you planned. Hear this: rest isn’t lazy. Jesus Himself said it to His closest friends. They’d been busy doing good things, and He told them to come away for a while. Even your phone knows how to plug in and recharge. You were never made to run on empty. So let this weekend be more than a break from work. Let it be time with Him. Sit down, take a breath, and let the Lord refill you.
Walk It Out
Turn off the screens for one hour this weekend and spend it with God, a walk or a cup of coffee.
Give yourself room to rest by skipping one thing that doesn’t need to be done.
Quiet Place
Lord, I’m tired. Thank You for the invitation to rest in You. Quiet my mind, calm my heart, and refill what the week emptied. I’m Yours. “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8).
