A New Thing
Faith Compass
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Morning Light
Hey friends, let’s light up the weekend—ever catch yourself stuck on yesterday’s mistakes, like they’re glued to your mind?
I’ve had those mornings, head full of “if only,” wishing for a clean break. That’s a place a lot of us know, tangled in what’s been. But Jesus ignites a spark of a new start. Isaiah 43:18-19 calls us to let go and see His fresh move, like a flower bud pushing through dry ground. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says in Him, we’re remade, the past wiped away. If you’re thinking you’re too stuck or He’s not interested, look closer—He’s offering a reset.
He didn’t leave us in the rut; He opened the way with His life. When we lay out our faults, He makes us whole (1 John 1:9). Shake loose the old, step into His promise, and feel a new rhythm kick in. That bright lift when you trust Him? That’s Jesus igniting your tomorrow. Rise, friends—chase that new day!
What’s one old thing you’re ready to drop?
Walk It Out
Rise with Jesus, the Spark of a New Start, with these three ways to soar:
Jot down a past regret—see how Isaiah 43:18-19 plants something new, letting hope take hold.
Pick a habit holding you back—ask, “How does Jesus’ renewal (2 Corinthians 5:17) free me?” and try one change.
Encourage someone caught in yesterday, sharing how He heals us (1 John 1:9), lighting their path.
Quiet Place
Jesus, my Spark of a New Start, thank You for wiping my slate clean. Take my faults, grow Your new in me, and help me share Your love. “You make all things new” (Revelation 21:5). Amen.
